Large linear infrastructure projects present their own challenges, throw contaminated land into the mix along with a high-density urban environment and you have a real project management challenge. The new high-capacity and high-frequency Metro services will run along 21km of dedicated busways. When Brisbane City Council needed expert review and advice for contaminated land they turned to Environmental Advisors to inform the nearly $1B Brisbane Metro Project.

We reviewed 25 sites with contaminated land risks, including driving multiple value-add revisions of the contaminated land documentation produced by a global professional services firm. With our component delivered well under budget, the project now moves to tendering and construction phase whilst meeting the risk appetite for contaminated land, often the riskiest element of any brownfield project.
